On Saturday, January 18, 2020, author and professor Anne Boyd Rioux will discuss the challenges of adapting the novel Little Women and how each era produces its own Little Women, from the first adaption for the Broadway stage to Greta Gerwig's 2019 film. Great news! Beginning on January 1, 2020, items checked out to a Minuteman library patron will be eligible for auto-renewal if the item is renewable, there are no reserves for the title, the item has not reached its maximum allowed renewals and your library card is valid.
In anticipation of the Christmas Day release of the Little Women movie, the Town of Concord will be celebrating Little Women Week from December 15 - 22, 2019. This week will feature events themed around Louisa May Alcott while celebrating her book as well as the new movie Little Women by Columbia Pictures and SONY Pictures. A baby sign language program series will be held at our Fowler Branch on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on December 4, 11 & 18, 2019. You and your child will learn sign language through songs, stories, games, play and more. For infants and toddlers, five months through pre-verbal. [Register]
