Summer Reading

You're never too young or too old for Summer Reading! The Library offers four possible reading adventures for Library users of all ages. The adventure begins Monday, June 8, 2026.

  • Reading Dragons & Friends | Kids

    Babies, Toddlers, & Preschoolers

    Grab a special treasure map at the library and set off on a reading adventure! Read with your child every day--or join us for storytime--and earn special prizes from our treasure chests for every seven days of reading logged. As you fill in your map, you’ll also collect raffle entries for exciting prizes along the way!

    Grades K-12

    Read, hatch, and collect them all! Sign up in person for a Reading Dragons & Friends folder and begin your adventure raising dragons and other magical companions through reading. Every two days you read and log--whether books, graphic novels, audiobooks, or magazines--you’ll earn collectible creature trading cards. Build your collection, earn raffle entries for awesome prizes, and earn special Honor Roll achievements for raising multiple creatures to adulthood!

  • Library Level-up | Teens

    Ready to level up? Grab a Character Sheet at the library and level your skills by reading books, attending events, and exploring everything the library has to offer. Track your progress in your Experience Log, then visit any librarian to level up your skills. Spend skill points in Book Battles, and complete Main Quests or repeat Ranked Challenges five times to earn up to fifteen Grand Prize Raffle Tickets this summer!

  • Choose-Your-Own Reading Adventure | Adults

    Summer reading adventures aren’t just for kids! Our Choose-Your-Own Reading Adventure program is open to adults 18 and older of all reading levels living in or visiting anywhere in Massachusetts.

    Pick up your Adventure Map at either Library location, and complete any (or all!) of this year's quests for a chance to win gift cards and prizes from local Concord businesses.
