Poetry at the Library: “Not What They Look At, But What They See”
A trio of lyrical poets reads in the Poetry at the Library Series on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
Concord poet Joan Alice Wood Kimball reads from her fourth collection, Early Light, hailed as “surefooted, vigorous, erudite; by turns philosophical, lyrical, and comical; ….poems [that] bear witness to a lifetime of roving and watching.” (Tom Daley) Carlisle poet Eve F.W. Linn reads from her debut collection, Model Home, in which “each line is sculpted, each poem a concentration of precise imagery and surprising turns of phrase, and the pleasure for the reader is continuous, mysterious, and always layered.” (Joan Houlihan) Jason Tandon reads from his fourth collection of acclaimed poems, The Actual World, a book “whose strong lines are at home in the senses, but also keyed to reflective solitude. Tandon’s pacing is deft and catches the 'double-take' surprise of the important moments.” (Sven Birkerts)
