A public forum on the Library's expansion plans will take place on Thursday, October 18, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.. in the Concord Town House Hearing Room, at 22 Monument Street. Library Director Kerry Cronin and the Trustees will lead the forum. All are welcome.

The annual Leslie Riedel Memorial Lecture for Young People will present children's author Kate DiCamillo on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Rotunda. The event is free and open to all. Registration is strongly recommended. In the Main Street Entrance Foyer Exhibit Case, on display in September and October 2018, is The Spanish Influenza Pandemic in Concord (September-November 1918). The 1918 influenza pandemic, hastened by the dynamics of a world war, swept around the globe at alarming speed, leaving illness and death in its wake. Concord, in all its peaceful, small town charm, was not spared.

The 2018 Summer Reading Program took place from June 1 - August 24 with the theme of Libraries Rock!. 443 participants read 310,633 minutes. Congratulations to all the summer readers! You are all Rockstars! To celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program, an Ice Cream Party was held on Wednesday, August 15 from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at the Main Library and 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Fowler.
