Benjamin Blyth drew over 150 insightful portraits of people from Salem and Essex County, Boston, including newlyweds John and Abigail Adams; Dr. James Warren, who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill; ministers, tavern-keepers, merchants and families, and at least two Concordians.
Bettina A. Norton, a retired museum professional, is author of two books, a dozen pamphlets, and over 70 articles during her long career in American graphic arts and social history. In the 1970s, she was on the board and an editor of the Dublin Seminar for New England Folklife, and on the board of the Concord Antiquarian Society when it was developing into a museum. From 1995 until 2001, she ran a very popular newspaper on Beacon Hill, where she lives in the house where she grew up. And her family has summered in Acton since 1947.
