A Celebration of the Declaration: An Exhibition of Rare 1776 Documents

This summer, visit the Main Library to explore A Celebration of the Declaration: An Exhibition of Rare 1776 Documents, on view through July 26.
Presented by the Town of Concord Archives and William Munroe Special Collections, the exhibition highlights a remarkable selection of surviving Concord records from 1776. Following the events of April 19, 1775, Concord and its citizens continued to play an important role throughout the American Revolution. As the nation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to connect with the local history that helped shape the founding of the United States.
Do not miss a special viewing of the Declaration of Independence on Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., when visitors will have the chance to experience this historic document as part of the exhibition.
