Shape the Future of the Library

The Concord Free Public Library is planning for the future, and your input is essential. We're inviting community members ages 13 and up to complete our Community Survey and share your thoughts about your library experiences. What do you love? What could be better? What do you want to see from us next?

Concord residents, non-residents, frequent Library users, and those who don’t use the Library are all welcomed to participate. All responses are anonymized and confidential and will be shared only in summary form as part of our strategic planning process.

Your feedback will help shape future collections, services, and programs by contributing to our next five-year Strategic Plan.

What is a Strategic Plan?

The Strategic Plan will assist the staff, Library Committee and Trustees to develop high level goals and an action plan to prioritize library projects and services for the next three years. The plan allows the library to continue to evolve to meet community needs, and to equip the Library to continue to be a flexible, nimble and vital institution for many decades to come. The Library has engaged the consulting firm Fast Forward Libraries to guide this process.

A key component to the strategic planning process is to gather community input through one-on-one interviews, surveys and focus groups. Your feedback will help shape future collections, services, and programs.

Community Listening Sessions

In addition to the Community Survey, the Library is coordinating focus group sessions with local community groups including parents and caregivers, seniors, educators, local nonprofits and businesses, and other community stakeholders.

We welcome any member of the community who is interested in attending to register for our open invitation Strategic Planning Focus Group on Wednesday, November 19 at 6:30 PM at the Main Library.
