Farewell to Hope & Pickles!
We're so excited to announce that Hope and Pickles, the endangered Blanding's turtles currently in the care of the Library, are grown and strong enough that they're ready to return to their home in the wild! Their last full day at the Library will be Tuesday, May 14.
The Library's turtle tank is part of Zoo New England's HATCH conservation program helping to restore native Blanding's turtle populations in Massachusetts. We encourage the community to come by to say goodbye and celebrate Hope and Pickles' return to their natural habitat! We hope to foster a new pair of hatchlings once again in the fall.
