Author Talk: The Molasses Tank Failure of 1919
On Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Ronald Mayville, a Senior Principal at the structural engineering firm of Simpson, Gumpertz & Heger, will share his explanation of why the tank failed, and the lessons as a result of the disaster. Mayville has spent many years looking into what caused the failure of the molasses tank that created one of the worst disasters in Boston history.
