Book Talk with Verrill Farm
Join Steve Verrill, Joan Verrill and Jennifer Verrill Faddoul for a book signing and discussion of their newly published cookbook A Farm Grows in Concord: 100 Years of Verrill Farm - Verrill Farm Kitchen Favorites with a Dash of History on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Library. The talk will be followed by an informal reception featuring food samples made from recipes in the book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
A Farm Grows in Concord began as a recorded oral history of a family, farm and a town. There were so many stories to tell that it quickly grew into a book. The result is a 176-page, 100 year history of three generations of farmers, including reflections on growth, adversity and success. Photographs accompany the history and 80 favorite recipes from the Verrill Farm kitchen.
The event is free and open to the public.
