Summer Reading 2023
Sign up at the Main Library or at the Fowler Branch Library for a fun-filled summer! Complete challenges, find our mascots Henry T. and Weezie as they fly around Concord and West Concord, and read, read, read!
Each week, participants pick up BINGO challenges! These focus on early literacy practices (talking, singing, reading, playing, and writing), while encouraging children and caregivers to have fun together! Children who complete one BINGO (line in a column, row, or diagonal) can exchange their card for one rubber ducky per week!
Sign up and receive a necklace! Throughout the summer, earn beads to add to your necklace by reading and completing BINGO challenges!
- 20 minutes: a regular bead
- 1 hour: a star bead
- 2 hours: a letter bead
- Bingo (line, row, or diagonal): an animal bead
Trade in lower value beads for higher value beads (ex. three regular beads for one star bead), but animal beads can only be earned by completing BINGO challenges.
Pick up a BINGO sheet to celebrate 150 years of the Concord Free Public Library! Any time you visit, fill in a raffle ticket with a recommendation.
Whenever you visit either library, add your recommendation. There will be a weekly drawing to win a 150th anniversary tote bag.
Grand Prize (Based on BINGO Board)
We have a special 150th anniversary BINGO board for you to complete this summer! Complete at least one horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line (BINGO) for a chance to win a $75 gift certificate to a local restaurant or store. Only one entry allowed per person. We will draw winners at the end of the summer.
