13. 1851 Regulations
Concord's Town House was intended as a venue for lectures, dances, concerts, and meetings beyond those related specifically to town government. Completion of the building required formal rules of use, which ensured both proper care of the building and fairness to all who wished to use it, and also allowed the town to earn some income by renting it out for special events. The broadside Regulations Relative to the Use and Care of the Town House, in Concord, Adopted in Town Meeting, Nov. 10, 1851 was printed for public posting.
