40. Bids Solicited to Tear Down the Middlesex

Through this broadside, issued by the town committee appointed to oversee the disposition of the Middlesex Hotel, bids were solicited for the demolition and removal of the hotel building. Bids were to be submitted by March 10th and work undertaken immediately upon acceptance. All salvageable materials and debris exclusive of stone and brick were to be removed from the site before April 15th, stone and brick before May 13th.
