The Society met with Mrs. R.P. Damon. Mrs. Hoar, Mrs. Keyes, Mrs. Derby, Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Hildreth, Mrs. H.H. Buttrick, Mrs. Geo. Heywood, Mrs. Geo. Brooks, Miss A.S. Keyes and Miss Florence Keyes were present. 3 pillow cases, 1 child’s flannel nightgown, 1 woman’s nightgown were finished and work done on underclothing for Mrs. Downing and Mrs. Loftus.
It was voted to give whatever clothing there was on hand to the Freedman’s Aid Society to be sent to the Freedmen in Washington. [That] society paying for the materials.
January 4th 1871
The Society held its semi annual meeting at the house of the President. Mrs. Dr. Wood, Mrs. Buttrick, Mrs. J.S. Keyes, Mrs. Geo. Heywood, Mrs. Gourgas, Mrs. Lang, Mrs. E.C. Damon, Mrs. Henry Smith, Mrs. Isaiah Brooks, Miss Bartlett, Miss Fay, Miss Hurd, Miss Folsom, Misses Florence and A.S. Keyes were present. It was voted to change the times for the meetings from the first to the second Wednesday of the month.
