Mary Alice, Mary Reynolds, and Warren Bulkeley (born in 1883, 1885, and 1889, respectively) were the children of Benjamin Reynolds Bulkeley—minister of the First Parish in Concord from 1882 until 1893 and a descendant of Concord founder and first minister Peter Bulkeley—and his wife Mary A. Warren Bulkeley. Obviously scrubbed, brushed, starched, and pressed for the photographer, the Bulkeley children sat for this portrait in Chicago, where their father served as pastor of the Unity Church after leaving Concord.
