17. Folsom Image of the New Library (Interior)

This Folsom photograph of the Reference Department of the new Concord Free Public Library shows that the building had shelving enough that the third floor balcony (or "gallery") was not initially needed for book storage.

The interior color scheme was a subdued, characteristically Victorian combination of blue-gray, pale myrtle, and soft brown.
