40. The Circulation Desk, 1970s

This 1978 photograph by Dave Chase - successor to the Concord photographic business of Keith Martin - shows the circulation desk designed and installed in the center of the lobby as part of Harry Little's 1933 Concord Free Public Library renovation. (The lighting fixture above the desk was a later innovation.) The desk remained in that location until the renovation of 1986 to 1990.
