29. Concord's Two Hundred and Fiftieth Birthday, 1885

On September 12, 1885, Concord observed the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of its incorporation. The celebration began with a dawn salute and the ringing of bells, followed by the mid-morning formation of a parade. The formal exercises took place in the Town Hall, dinner in the Agricultural Hall by the Sudbury River. The ceremonies concluded as they had begun, with a salute and bells.
