Series VII (17 glass, 38 film) is organized into two subseries. Arrangement within subseries and sub-subseries is by date. New York is organized into two sub-subseries: Lake Mohonk and Staten Island. Lake Mohonk subjects include: Mohonk House built by the Smiley Brothers, who also built Canon Crest Park in Redlands, CA (see Series X), Peterskill Falls, plants (including New England Asters, chestnut oak leaves, maple leaves, sassafras leaves, witch hazel, and woodbine), and panoramic views of Sky Top Path from "Hayes Lookout" and Rondout Valley, and views along Laurel Ledge Drive and down Undercliff Road.
Staten Island images consist of historic Fort Wadsworth, and the William Emerson Place; seaward views from Richmond Road, Dongan Hills, and from Emerson Hill; and wave-marks on sand at low tide. Gleason photographed the skyline of lower New York City, the Statue of Liberty, and Staten Island from the Staten Island Ferry. Pennsylvania consists of several Philadelphia scenes including, Bond Street toward City Hall, Independence Hall, and the University Museum, one image of the Dupont Water Garden (Longwood Gardens), and several shots of Jack-in-the-Pulpits in Swarthmore, PA.
