If you have never had a Minuteman library card, please click here to complete the application form to get a 6-month Minuteman library card. If you are a Concord (MA) resident, the temporary card will grant you access to all the online resources the Library offers to the local residents. You can also borrow books and other materials from the Library and any other Minuteman Library Network libraries.

Library Card Registration Form

To obtain a Minuteman Library Card from us, fill out a registration form at the Circulation Desk with your valid ID. You must bring proof of current address if your address does not match your picture ID. Children under the age of 12 must have a parent or legal guardian present to present a photo ID and proof of address when the child receives their library card. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for any charges incurred for materials borrowed by their minor children (age 18 and under).

Loan Periods

4 weeks —Most adult and children's books, audio books.

2 weeks — New adult books, Speed Read, DVDs, music CDs, children's holiday books and children's kits.

1 week — Periodicals.

1 day — Museum passes.

Overdue Charges

The Concord Free Public Library is a fine-free library for standard overdue fines.  Please note these categories that still accrue charges: 

Museum Passes — $10.00/day

Library of Things (including Wifi Hotspots) - $2.00/day

Lost/Damaged Items — Replacement cost of item

Returns

Items should be returned at the Circulation Desk. Outside book drops are also located at the Sudbury Road entrance and the Main Street entrance near the Children's Library for returns when the library is closed. Book drops are emptied one hour before closing. Items placed in drops after that time will be checked in the next business day. 

Renewals

Books with a 4 week loan may be renewed twice.  New books, all audio items, juvenile kits, DVDs and periodicals may be renewed once. Restrictions may apply.  All other items are not renewable. Renewals may be made in person, via online catalog/My Account (with a PIN) or by telephone.
