Margaret Titcomb, ca. 1890.13. Alfred Munroe (Concord).  Margaret Titcomb, ca. 1890.  From a glass plate negative, presented by Henry Francis Smith.

Daughter of beloved long-time Concord physician George Eugene Titcomb and his wife Fanny, Margaret Titcomb was born here in 1889. She married engineer John Alexander Urquhart in 1921. Her father, who died in 1923, spent the final months of his life at her home in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Photographer Alfred Munroe caught baby Margaret's broad but fleeting smile in this photograph. The library holds another image taken either just before or just after this one, in which the little girl wears a poker face.
